Wall Mounted PC Build [$1,767]
Description
Introduction
A showpiece gaming PC that hangs on the wall: a wall-mountable open-frame case, a liquid cooler for a clean look, a modern processor, a 16GB video card, 32GB of DDR5, and a fast NVMe SSD. It is built for a display-worthy setup that frees desk space while playing current games at high settings at 1440p.
Every part was picked from current listings for the best combination of price and compatibility, and the whole list comes to $1,767.43, $353.40 below the parts' reference prices. Prices were checked when this page was last updated and can change, so the total updates with every refresh.
CPU and Cooler
The AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 6-Core is a 6-core processor on the AM5 socket with integrated graphics. For gaming, a fast six-core-or-better CPU paired with a capable video card delivers high frame rates without overspending on cores most games do not use.
For cooling we added the Cooler Master Elite Liquid 240 AIO Liquid CPU Cooler, a liquid cooler that lists support for AM5, AM4, LGA1851. This CPU does not include a cooler in the box, so one is required.
Motherboard
The ASRock B850M-X R2.0 Micro-ATX AM5 Motherboard is a Micro-ATX board with the B850 chipset that matches the CPU's AM5 socket and takes DDR5 memory. It is the lowest-cost compatible board in our current listings, which leaves more of the budget for the parts that affect frame rates.
Memory
32GB of DDR5 at 5600 MT/s (TEAMGROUP T-Create Classic 10L DDR5 32GB Kit (2 x 16GB) 5600MHz (PC5-44800) CL46 Intel XMP 3.0 & AMD EXPO...). 32GB is the comfortable amount for modern games with a browser, voice chat, and streaming software running in the background. See our guide to how much RAM you need.
Storage
The Fanxiang 1TB NVMe SSD PCIe Gen4 M.2 Internal Gaming SSD for PS5 is a 1TB NVMe. A solid state drive makes the PC boot, open apps, and load games far faster than a hard drive. Games keep growing, so 1TB is the practical minimum for a gaming PC.
Video Card
The ASUS Dual Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB GDDR6 Gaming Graphics Card with 16GB of video memory is the heart of this gaming build. 16GB of video memory leaves headroom for high-resolution textures in new releases.
Compare it with other options in our guide to choosing a graphics card.
Case
The Thermaltake Core P3 TG Pro Open Frame ATX Compatible PC Case CA-1G4-00M1WN-09 CS8593 fits ATX, Micro-ATX, Mini-ITX boards, so it holds this Micro-ATX motherboard with room to spare.
Power Supply
We estimate this build draws about 377W at full load, so we recommend at least 550W. The Segotep 650W ATX Power Supply provides 650W and is 80 Plus Gold rated, which leaves headroom for upgrades and keeps the fan quiet.
Planning a wall-mounted PC
A wall-mounted PC turns your build into a piece of wall art and frees up the desk, but it needs more planning than a tower. Mount the case into wall studs or with anchors rated well above the weight of the finished build, and plan where the power, display, and USB cables will run down the wall before you hang it.
Measure cable lengths before you buy. A wall-mounted PC usually sits farther from the monitor and outlet than a desk tower, so longer display and power cables or a cable cover keep things tidy.
Why a liquid cooler and a vertical video card
Open-frame wall cases show every part, so a liquid cooler keeps the processor area clean and lets the radiator sit where it can breathe. Most wall-mount cases mount the video card vertically using a PCIe riser cable. Check the case listing to see whether a riser is included; if not, buy a PCIe 4.0 riser of the length the case specifies.
Dust, noise, and temperatures
Open-frame cases run cool because nothing traps hot air, but they collect more dust and let more fan noise out. Plan to dust the build every few weeks with compressed air, and set gentle fan curves so the build stays quiet at idle.
Building it
Assemble and test the PC with the case lying flat on a table, then hang it once everything works. Connect and route every cable while the case is still on the table, since reaching behind a mounted case is awkward.

Wall Mounted PC Build FAQ
Is it safe to mount a PC on the wall?
Yes, when the case is designed for wall mounting and is fixed into studs or anchors rated well above the build's weight. Keep it away from heat sources and out of reach of pets and young children.
Do wall-mounted PCs overheat?
No. Open-frame wall cases usually run cooler than closed towers because hot air escapes freely, though they collect more dust.
Do I need a riser cable for a wall-mounted PC?
Usually. Most wall-mount cases mount the video card vertically, which requires a PCIe riser cable. Some cases include one; check the case listing.
How much does the Wall Mounted PC Build cost?
$1,767.43 for all 8 parts at current prices, which is $353.40 below their combined reference prices. Prices change, so the total is updated with every refresh.
Are all the parts compatible?
Yes. The part list passes our compatibility check: the CPU and motherboard share the AM5 socket, the memory is DDR5 to match the board, the case fits a Micro-ATX motherboard, and the 650W power supply covers the estimated 377W draw with headroom.
Does this build include Windows?
No. The part list covers the hardware. Add a Windows license in the PC Builder's Operating System row if you need one.
Can I change parts?
Yes. Open the build in the PC Builder to swap any part. Compatible-only filtering is on by default, so every option it shows fits the rest of the build.
How do I buy every part at once?
Use Buy all parts. It adds the whole list to your cart in one step, where you can review each item before checking out.
